Passion for Learning
Thinking & Creativity
Foundation Academy believes in a creative and holistic approach to mentoring every child enrolled in its programs. The Academy was founded in 2015 for the purpose of bringing innovative and creative after-school programs to Hong Kong students. In the last 4 years, we have run the creative arts courses in 15+ Hong Kong International Schools.
From our experience of training more than 200 students in the past academic year alone, we have received positive encouragement from teachers and parents who have witnessed, first-hand, the children’s discovery of creativity, responsibility, teamwork, and confidence.
We specialize in three fun and creative after-school courses:
Foundation's Summer Camp
Even though the courses are taught in groups, every student receives special attention and develops into a budding filmmaker, novelist or orator.
Creativity is the main focus of our programs. Through the medium of our creative arts courses, we enable the students to create a film, book and audio drama at the end of the course.
Every course is designed to enable the students to work in teams and develop skills like responsibility, team engagement, cooperation etc .
All of the in-class activities are designed to develop confidence among the students. The students learn to face the camera, write bold creative stories and record their voice without hesitation.
After the end of every course, Foundation Academy arranges a showcase for the film premier, novel launch and audio drama presentation.
Sarah Bower (Peak School Parent), Filmmaker
My son enjoyed the Filmmaker Course. Best things about the course are as follow: Learning filmmaking structure Learning props development Learn to use filming equipment Great interactive exercises for several children to work as a group in a project Expose children to filmmaking genre that they don’t normally have access to at schools Teaching children about the benefits of music overlay and special effects
Francis Wong (Sha Tin Junior School Parent), Orator
Andrea has improved her fluency in spoken English and she has become a bit more brave in open speaking as well. Overall speaking, Ms Anna is good at meeting the class objective. I would recommend the course to others.
Kelly Poon (Beacon Hill School Parent), Orator
After the course, Ally is able to read long lone of sentences properly. It’s much better before taking the orator Class. Ms Anna is very patient and caring to the students. I cannot think of anyways the course should improve as it is already pretty good so far.
Charles Chan (Victoria Shanghai Academy Parent), Filmmaker
Gabriel knows more about filmmaking and being an actor. Most importantly, he really enjoys the course a lot. He talks about it at home all the time and I think he has become more outgoing. Great job! In overall the course is fun and is a great opportunity to learn something new outside the class.
Kris Chiu (Quarry Bay School Parent), Filmmaker
Helen has learned about filming angels, emotions and expression from the course. Ms Kim is very responsible and she has kept us updated about what my daughter has learned from each lessons. I would recommend the course to others.
